Videos

Videos from today of William grabbing stuff on his gym (new skill he is working on), smiling and making noises, and doing another jig.

Head Lifting

William's head lifting has gotten a lot better during tummy time lately. Here he is showing off his skills...
And Murphy sporting his hair cut from last weekend (with some additional trimming by Mom, as they tend not to cut enough off his ears and jaw).

Jig

Despite William's cold, he was feeling pretty good last night and decided to show us all a jig.

First Cold

William got his first cold this weekend. It doesn't seem to bother him much, but his breathing is much louder.

We had my parents out this weekend (my Mom for the previous week) and they had fun with William.

Family Picture taken by my Mom.

Hanging out with Grandpa Mc

Cuddling with Grandma Mc

Getting ready for bath time
William as you can see is filling out. We are guessing he must be around 14 lbs now.

Adam and I got a chance to get out on Saturday night to visit our friend Suzy and Ryan's new house. They have a very nice house and it fits them so well. It was nice for us to be out as a couple. My parents babysat and did very well with William. Swaddling was new to them, so they didn't quite get him tight enough in there, so he Houdini-ed his way out, but we were able to get him swaddled when we got home with out him waking up much.

Three Months Old and his bear

William's picture with his bear at age 3 months. He is quickly growing out of size 3mo and is wearing a lot of 6mo clothes already. He is doing well at day care, and starting to do a little better with naps. And get this....last night he slept 9 hours straight! I don't expect it every night, but boy was that nice.

Video Clips

Adam's squad car and another squad car were hit during the last snow storm one by a semi truck and one by a tow truck. He was interviewed by a Milwaukee news station for the following news story. Thankfully both Adam and the other officer are okay. Just a reminder for everyone to move over and slow down for highway and police vehicles no matter the driving conditions.

And here's a short clip of my happy little man.

Three Months Old

William is three months old today. We are enjoying watching him grow up and learn new things. He is big into the Gee, Guu, Gaa noises right now. He is smiling up a storm when he is in a good mood, which is most of the time (except when hungry or tired). I think we are figuring him out more and more.

I was thinking the other day that it seems like he has always been ours; that I have always been his Mom, but that he just had to come into being so we could fully enjoy him. Not sure if that makes sense to others than me, but that is how I feel.

Trying out a Bumbo chair, he did pretty well, not too stable yet, but working on it.

Get Well Soon Miss J

My friend Suzy's baby girl is sick with pneumonia and was hospitalized this week. My heart and prayers go out to them. Hope she is doing better and is quickly back to the fast moving, smiling Miss J.

I haven't been posting as much but going back to work has been going good. I am starting to get into a routine in the evenings of doing lots of things quick while little man takes an evening nap. William's reports from day care are good each day, so that is good too.

He was very smiley tonight, but the camera was only fast enough to catch a few.

He's in the bed!

I don't know what causes it, but often I wake up convinced that William is some how in the bed with me. Last night I went so far as to be convinced that my pillow was William, I had it cradled in my arms. And where my pillow should have been was the dog's bed; how I managed to come up with this, I don't know.

It has happened before, and in past instances Adam has gone into William's room to confirm he is in there and convince me. Talking to others, either themselves or their spouses have done this also. Weird!

William napping on the floor

Sleep update: We now have four nights under our belt where William has slept from 8pm to ~2am, and then till 6:30am. Just in time for me going back to work, thanks little guy and keep it up! One addition to his room that coincides with the change from 2-3 feedings a night to 1 feeding was the introduction of a humidifier. I was waking up with a dry mouth, and thought maybe William was too, not sure if this made a difference, but if it did it is staying. I picked the elephant because I remember interviewing my father in elementary school or something and asking him his favorite animal and he said elephant. Since then elephants remind me of him :)

We have now graduated to riding in the baby Bjorn facing forward, much more interesting than starring at my neck!

And this clip is for Grandma S, she requested we get William's hungry noise on video. Normally he sucks on his pacifier quietly, but if he is hungry he gives it hell with his "Rah Rah Nah" noises.

1st Day of Day Care

Before

After
William did well at Day care, only he started out the day with a blow out, making the teachers pretty nervous that they didn't have enough extra clothes there for him. He took a late nap and is still sleeping in his car seat right now. They said he did good, so that makes his Mommy feel better.

I did pretty good at work, though I was watching the clock like a hawk, which made the day go by so much slower. Adam had fun with William in the morning apparently they went through 3-4 outfits as he either peed through his diaper or when getting changed. So you can guess what I will be doing tonight... laundry!

Colds in our noses

So far William is doing fine, but Adam and I are fighting a drippy nose causing cold. I am hoping William doesn't get it, as I am sure he will get his fair share when he starts day care.

Here are a few pictures of Adam and Will hanging out on the couch. I had to work harder to get a smile out of Adam than William.

Kicking Fun

William is having fun lately laying on his back and kicking with one of us looking at him from above. The smiles and cooing noises just melt my heart.

So this is a quick video taken on our camera, and my first attempt at putting a video on the blog.
