Big Happenings

We have a new nephew, Declan Edward was born today weighing 6lb 4oz and was 19.5in long. All are doing well, and we can't wait to see pictures!

And the other big happening, William slept through the night and let me get a much needed full night sleep! Thanks little guy.

Travel Weekend

We had a good weekend in Minnesota, but we learned it is much harder traveling in that short time with a little one. His schedule got off a couple of times, but all in all he handled it pretty well. We got to see both Grandparents, my brothers, sister in law and nephew. And I got to hang out with my college girlfriends. We saw the movie "Bounty Hunter", which was cute, had Fondue, very tasty, swam in the pool, a bit cold, and walked around our old campus.

William had his first real giggle last night after bath time. Grandma S was tickled pink to hear it and so were we. When we got home we tried the most recent purchase, a Jumperoo. I had put him in it the night before we left and he was a bit scared by it. But this afternoon he was in better spirits to check it out.

Off to Grandma and Grandpa's House

Tomorrow morning we head to the cities to see both families and I get a night out with my college friends. Wish Adam luck with his first night time feeding!

Reading

Adam and William reading before bed. Adam and I love to read, so we hope to instill that love in William too. His current favorite books are "Big Little", Dr Seuss ABC, and "Good Morning, Goodnight".

Better Day

Well, today turned out better than yesterday. It's amazing what a two hour morning nap can do.

Weekend Pictures

William was a bit crabby on Saturday, he just wanted to be held most of the day, so it was a long day for me. Adam had to work the previous night till 2am, so I had to keep Will and Murphy quiet so he could sleep in. Then Adam headed back to work. I got a quick nap in during one of Will's half hour naps, which helped.

Doctor Appointment Update

William was in for his 4 month check up and shots. He is now 16 lbs 9 oz (75%) and 26.5in (95%). Same reaction to shots as last time, a big inhalation, holds his breath and turns red then screams. But he calmed down pretty soon after. Then this afternoon at day care he was pretty irritable unless he was sleeping, but tonight he is back to his normal self.

Four Months Old Today

William is four months old today, what a short time he has been in our lives and what a difference he has made in that short time.

Sunday Videos

William is out of the 3 month sizes and into the 6 month sizes now. The pants and sleeves are a little long, but they fit his belly better.

He had his first fussy day at day care on Friday, not sure what caused it, maybe he just had a long week and was missing his Mommy. The teachers said he just wanted to be held and took only short naps. Hopefully we can get him on a better sleep schedule at day care soon. He does pretty well for us at home, but we take the time to swaddle him and put the pacifier in if needed to get to the 2 hour naps from the 30 minute naps.

Warm Weather

Well we couldn't resist the 40 degree weather so William, Murphy and I just got back from a nice stroller walk. William fell asleep and Murphy got tired and ended up riding in the bottom of the stroller storage area for the last block. But it was so nice to get out and get some sun and fresh air. Hope you are all enjoying it too!

Walk and Thoughts

Today we couldn't resist going on a walk now that the sun is up for longer and it was above freezing. So we bundled up William, put Murphy's coat on and went for a spin around the nieghborhood with the stroller. William was nodding of by the end. It was nice to get some fresh air and makes me look forward to spring.

Lately my thoughts have drifted to trying to imagine William as an adult. It just boggles my mine that he will be some day. He has gotten so much bigger already and is getting more skills each day. We are so lucky to watch him grow and develop. We sure do love the little guy!

Monday

William didn't nap well at daycare today, so he was really tired when I got him home.


This morning he had more energy, and pulled Adam's glasses off his face for the first time. So either his coordination is getting better, or he just got lucky!
