Happy Easter

Happy Easter to everyone. We had a fun weekend with G'ma and G'pa Mc here for the weekend to celebrate Easter and my birthday. We did a lot of stuff, colored easter eggs, baked cookies, decorated cake, went swimming, went on walks, and did a lot of playing.

It was a good time, and a much better birthday than last year. Only way to make it perfect would have been if Adam didn't have to work. I got a Burley pull behind bike child carrier and William and I tested it out and had a great time at the park. He sat in there with his little helmet on like a prince, just content to be escorted around.

Pictures from the yard today, enjoying the nice weather finally!

Action shot of finding Easter eggs, Will did great (helped that they were in plain sight).

My father was asked to make a coloring table for William and did an excellent job. Will loves it.

And the latest thing at our house is drinking water from your toothbrush from the kitchen sink.

Fun at the EAA

What do you do on a cold dreary April day? Head to the museum, and one that has a lot of space to run around. So that's what we did yesterday as a family. William had fun running around. He would squat a little, smile a little mischievous smile, take off running, and then get a head of him self and fall down. Then he would get back up and do the same thing. He also liked pointing at all the airplanes hanging from the ceiling.

One of the nice volunteers took a nice family picture of us in front of the Wright Flyer. It was a good morning spent running off some energy. William fell asleep in the car on the way home!

Sunday, April 10, 2011

We went to the library yesterday and ran around for an hour. Playing with the toys there and enjoying the open space.

Will wants to be helpful. Tasks he currently helps us with, unloading the dishwasher, putting clothes down the clothes chute, and picking things up to put in a container (crayons, blocks, etc). Though it might take longer with his help he is learning some good things and enjoys being helpful.

Assisting Daddy with window washing and moving screens.

He is also getting into more things, this is Will after grabbing the phone from our room, pushing the talk button then getting scared and dropping the phone on the ground when he heard the dial tone.

While playing outside he grabbed some landscaping rocks and insisted on bring them inside. He then had them in his possession for the next 30 minutes as he wandered around the house.

Bears, Blocks and Books, Oh my!

William loves books (I think we have read 40 so far this morning already), his teddy bears (he loves to bite their noses then point out their eyes, ears, nose and mouth), and his building blocks. We also brought out Adam's old matchbox cars (thanks G'ma Pam for saving them) and he has been having fun with Daddy making car noises, or seeing how many he can stuff in Daddy's pocket.

His language is still coming slow, but you can just make out dog, kitty, ball, duck and a couple others. Mama, Dada and more are getting clearer and appropriately directed.
