Halloween Boo-Boos...

William is getting more and more mobile. He is crawling with his belly up and is pulling himself up on the couches and chairs. He is not too steady and has gotten two boo-boos to his head just this weekend. One left a bruise on his forehead and the other left his nose red.



Adam and I commented that there is going to be no down time for us when he starts to walk and can go where HE wants to, rather than being redirected by Mom and Dad on our frequent supported walks around the house.

He also has found that pulling out tissues from a box can be very fun and take a long time.

Riding on Daddy's shoulders is fun too, and you have to make sure to pat his head a bunch of times and drool like crazy.

Living wild this morning with out a bib, this shirt only lasted 2 hours and the front was soaked.

And lastly our "Super Baby"We went trick or treating at the neighbors houses and then had fun giving out candy to the kids that came to visit our house.

William has just started to crawl with his belly up. He starts out that way for about 2 feet then flops down and does his standard army crawl.

And he loves to pull himself up on Daddy, right now Daddy is the perfect jungle gym!

Finger, Finger, Slide, Walk

All William wants to do these days is grab your fingers, slide off your lap and go walking around the room. Then there is the occasional stop at the piano to crank out some tunes. Then its off to check out the exterior of the jumperoo, or into the kitchen to check out the tupperware that is strewn about. And then to go where ever Murphy is, and finally its off to find someone to give a big wide open mouth kiss to (my leg in the last picture).

William's kisses are halfway between trying to eat you and cover you in drool. I think you have to be totally in love with this little guy to appreciate them :)

Path of Tupperware Destruction

William had great fun this morning in the Tupperware cabinet. He pulled everything he could reach out and onto the floor, where it then got slobbered on or banged around.


William ended up coming home from daycare early on Thursday afternoon with a fever. I got him into the doctor right away and they checked him out and couldn't find anything so the assumption is a viral infection. He was a little lump in my arms at the doctors office and fell asleep as soon as we got home at 5:30pm. Adam's Mom came out to help us with daycare on Friday, thanks Pam!

He was running a little fever on Friday but by Saturday it was gone. He still seems to be fighting off something as he isn't his normal happy-go-lucky self yet. We made a quick trip to the Little Farmer yesterday for a pumpkin, but it was so busy we didn't stay long. It was such a nice day and it was bring your dog day so the place was packed. The line for caramel apples was out of the barn and down a hill. Needless to say we didn't wait.

One year ago we had Adam's and my parents out to celebrate my Father's birthday (Happy Birthday Yesterday Dad!) and we went to the Little Farmer. I was quite large at the time with William. How much can change in one year!

This week we got a new car. Adam did all the arranging and picked it up on Tuesday. We are now the proud owners of a Azure Blue Subaru Outback. Adam has driven it most of the week, as having a new car kind of freaks me out. I am scared that everyone is going to hit me, or I am going to ruin it some how. I finally drove it yesterday. It is very nice and fits our family great. I do miss my Jeep, but it found a nice home with a guy that Adam works with.

What happened on Saturday?

Your guess is as good as mine. I really can't think of where Saturday went. I know we hung out with Daddy in the morning as evidence by the pictures I took. But I can't honestly remember what else we did.

Today on the other hand I can remember. William and I got up early to drive up to Neenah to see the Betker's and see Julianna get baptized. It was a nice small church and it was nice to see Suzy and Ryan's extended families. Julianna looked very cute in her family heirloom baptismal dress, she didn't appreciate water being poured on her head, but she did great otherwise.

William did good, even though he didn't get his morning nap. He was good in church, but my arms are sore from holding him the whole time. He had fun watching all the walking kids at their house. Pretty soon he will be joining the ranks of the fast walking toddlers. It occurred to me as I was telling people William's age (almost 11 months) that in little over a month he will be 1 year old. How fast the time has gone, but yet it seems like he has been with us forever.

So this got me in the mood to document my baby before he isn't a baby any more. And since he will be mostly covered up this winter, I decided it was time for an almost naked baby photo shoot.

This afternoon we went on a big grocery shopping trip. Since our refrigerator went out a couple weeks ago, I haven't wanted to get too much food. So we have been eating what we can find around here. Well I went to the store hungry today, which is never a good thing to do. Came home with a cart full of groceries and lugged them up the stairs. It feels like I was physically active all day long, and I am beat.

Next week looks to be crazy at work. A new program I have been working on launches next week, finally, and on top of that, one of my plant team members is leaving the company, so my boss asked me to fill in. I am not sure how I am going to do three jobs (my real job, launching this program and department head) but I guess I will just try to do my best and stay above water.

Busy Weekend

We got back to WI yesterday from MN, we had a great weekend with lots of visiting and fun. Friday Will and I visited Lisa, Bridgette and little baby Lucas. Bridgette did great entertaining William and little Lucas is a tiny version of Lisa's husband Scott! Friday evening we hung our with G'ma and G'pa S and had fun eating from the big table. We towel-tied Will to a bar chair and he ate at the big table with us; a quick bath followed afterward.

Saturday we had a photo shoot at my parents house with my brother Dan, his family, my parents and my brother Kevin. I think we all looked great in our navy and khaki (great choice Brea). So I hope the pictures turn out great, I will post a link when I get one. The rest of Saturday we hung out with my parents and William played with all our old Fisher Price toys. Thanks Mom and Dad for hanging on to them!

Sunday we had a visit from Darryl, Chandra and Miss Brylee (17 mo). I just couldn't get over how tiny and cute that little girl is. She is at least 5 pounds lighter than William and has a petite little head on that petite little body. She gave us insight into what life will be like with a talking, walking toddler.

While cleaning out my old room closet I found a funny picture of Chandra and I from highschool at Valleyfair (local amusement park). Complete with cut off shorts, giant tank tops (the ones you have to wear a sports bra underneath with the scrunchies in the back to keep the straps together), and our matching Adidas sandals. It was in a key chain view finder, or I might have been tempted to post just for laughs.

Sunday evening we headed to the Mall of America to attend the RMIA (our IVF clinic) family celebration. We toured the Underwater World exhibit. William checked everything out, but was unsure of what to make of the strange creatures swimming behind the glass. I was hoping for more of a chatty get together, but this year it was just the event walk through.
