When the weather doesn't cooperate...

...then head to the airplane museum!

Arm peddling some major "G-forces"

Got to love all the buttons and levers.

Raptor pilot William.

Watching all the propellers go around.
Last weekend we headed to the museum to get some energy run out.  After an hour of constant motion, a picnic lunch at the museum and another half hour of running around William told me he was tired and it was time to go home to have a nap.

We have been busy shopping this weekend, new shoes for William, groceries, Target, and Menards.  William picked out his own shoes and even though they are different than the previous pair, he is wearing them and telling strangers he meets at Target about his new shoes.  So maybe he is over the fear of new clothes, shoes and jackets, time will tell.

William is doing great with the potty training, other than an occasional aiming mishap he is keeping his pants dry.  I am getting a bit more relaxed about it and only have one pair of underwear in my purse and a pair of pants in the car just in case.

We are heading into a busy week.  Adam is down in Pewaukee for sniper training all week, so I get drop off and pick up from daycare.  Grandma and Grandpa S are coming out mid week to celebrate birthdays and help with William, and then I am escaping for a girls weekend in Chicago on Friday.  Can't wait for some girl talk, shopping, sight seeing and fun.  Looking at the weather for the weekend it says high 50's and low 60's and no rain so I hope that holds!

Have a great week!

Our attempts at Spring

We are sick of snow, wind, cold, etc.  We want spring and we will claim it how ever we have to.  Jump rope in the living room, scooter in the basement, bubble blowing in winter coat and hat...come on mother nature, this is getting ridiculous.  Can't you just send us a 50 degree or warmer day with sunshine and no rain to make us smile?

William is improving on his arm and feet coordination needed to jump rope and has made 11 in a row with out having to jump then step over.  He was pretty proud of himself!

My first flowers popping out of the ground just to get snow on them, poor things.

William and Nurphy shelaxing together.

Until a sound is heard, then duty calls and Nurphy must protect the house from evil invaders.

Gotta love the funny faces you capture from time to time.

Adam has been busy with work, he got called in the other night early for a bomb scare that turned out to be nothing as he suspected it would. Adam has taken to running outside since the sidewalks cleared and is keeping up with it, despite me shaking my head when he decides to go running in sleet.

I on the other hand, am on strict orders from my Mother not to run for 2 weeks.  I am on my fourth antibiotic to get rid of strep throat and managed to catch the flu bug at the same time.  I stayed home last Friday from work due to aches, fever and chills.  I still can't seem to regulate my body temperature very well, but am feeling less achy and more willing to eat.

William is enjoying two weeks of color week where they have to dress in the color of the day and bring something from home to share that is the color of the day.  Next week we have pink and purple coming up, not sure he has anything in his wardrobe those colors.

Wisdom from William:

William told me the other day he wants to be a Daddy when he grows up and then said "but I will have to find a nice Mommy", so I said "Yes you will, some day you will have to be very nice to girls, if you want to find a nice Mommy".

Will also told me today as we were shopping that he was "running out of patience, but could go to one more store".  I think he has picked up on me saying that in the mornings when he decides to drag his heels on getting ready and "doesn't want to make any choices".

Have a good week and pray for some warmer weather!

Easter in MN

We had a good trip, fun with the cousins, and fun finding and coloring eggs!  I got to partake in some wine drinking with my sister in law and a little chat here and there between four little boys needing attention.

I totally forgot my camera this past weekend so had to rely on my I-phone and Mom to take pictures.

William the organ master, he had the beat going and was dancing away.

Picture of William's now favorite blanket.  Thanks Mom for all the hard work.

Talking a spring walk to the park.  It was still really cold!

Coloring eggs!

Easter dinner, my Mom always has to get a table shot :)
My cool guy in his new sunglasses.
Busy bees at the zoo!

Grandma and the boys!

One of our pit stops on the long drive.  I have never seen such a big Easter tree!

Got to love Menards!

William had a ton of fun today at Menards, there's the garden center just being set up (no fountains on yet), the door area with lots of doors to open and close, the patio set area with swing chairs, mailboxes and other fun stuff, and seed packets.  I swear we have enough seeds to plant our whole lawn with, we are going to have to pick and choose when we finally put in our garden.

Pictures from the week...

Chilling watching Sophia while Daddy reads.  I had to order 5T pajamas to keep the long torso covered.

William and I made Turtle bread, found an old cookbook with A to Z recipes for kids.

Grandma Mc's new quilt has become a favorite in that it has to come every he goes in the house!

Funny faces at our art table.

William is pretty well potty trained now and prefers underwear to diapers.  We still put them on for sleeping, but he is doing better at telling Mom and Dad when he has to go.  And the accidents he has are smaller, stopped before they get too big.  So that is good, diaper consumption is finally decreasing!

We have been doing a lot of cooking together, William wanted to make pink ice cream the other night so off to the store we went.  And it had to be Pick and Save, because they have the "medium carts" the carts with a small storage area but full height that William can now barely see over.  I am missing my Festival foods, but hopefully the lure of free jello will call William back to Festival soon.  Our strawberry ice cream turned out wonderful; we used a jar of our strawberry jam and might have to make another batch again soon.

Earlier today I saw big fluffy snowflakes again, urgh.  I am so ready for spring.  I want to see flowers and grass and birds and go outside with out hats and mittens.  I hope things turn around in April or I am going to go bezerk with spring fever.

We are off to Minnesota for Easter and look forward to seeing lots of friends and family!

Happy St. Patricks Day

Having fun with our train set...

Out for a walk in the not so springy weather.  We had our puddle boots on ready for splashing, and they were put to good use.

The guys with their Irish shirts on...

Thanks Mom and Dad for a great visit, good food, a chance to get out sans child, and fun with William's toys.
