Diagnosis confirmed, but of course the pharmacy in the same building was out of the eye drops so off we went in the rain to Walgreen's. William made a few friends dancing around Walgreen's while we waited for the Rx to be filled. A nice older lady was selling diabetes bars and was quite distracted from her selling as she was preoccupied making googly eyes at Will.
A big milestone was reached this weekend, William consented to having mittens put on and then kept them on for 5 minutes. Granted this was in the house, so not really when he needed them. Let's hope this translates to more cooperation on this front this winter. Last winter we just gave up and didn't even try after so many failed attempts and fits.
William scared Adam the other day when he started sorting his berries from his fruit salad into each berry type. Adam might have another type A personality on his hands :) I say the more the merrier!
We had a really nice visit down to see Laura, Andy, Donovan and Patrick down by Milwaukee yesterday. It was fun to see the boys play and William to learn new big boy games from Donovan (golf, train tables, etc). Thanks for the great food and conversation!
Funny things Will said this week and last:
"I no baby, I big boy"
"Green - Go, Red - Stop" (telling us how to drive already)
"It happened" (when I asked him how it happened that he was on the floor while we were wrestling)
"Bless You" followed by hilarious laughing (somehow sneezing and then saying bless you is super funny)
"No, porcupine" (after I tried telling him that our stick and straw figure on the piano was a hedgehog, I didn't even know he knew that word)
Pictures from this week.... (the hat remains a favorite)
Checking out car and watch web sites with Daddy on the IPad.
Something goofy happened to the file on this picture, but I thought it was still cute enough to post.
Amma and Appa S. brought us some nice presents from their trip out west and also a chair for William to watch Cars in. He was apprehensive at first by the sound of the beans and the fabric, but after they left he took to sitting in it. This was only after his moose stuffed animal decided to sit there first, guess Mr. Moose has a good feel for what is safe to sit on.
