Bouncing Around

I made my usual weekend list of things to do, and though I got off to a rough start, I managed to get them all done, some with a little help from William.  This evening we raked and he was a surprisingly good helper.  Once pointed in the right direction he raked for all he was worth.  Then there was some fun walking and plopping down in the leaf pile.  It was soft and warm in there he told me.

William loves to jump around on his jumping ball, pretty common to see him hop on by while dinner is in the works.

Adam and I got a rare chance to do some shopping without an almost 3 year old to keep track of.  We dropped William off at his former teacher Lisa's house after nap.  It was a nice chance for Adam and I to chat, shop and eat.  William had a fun time sweeping Lisa's floor, taking a walk to look at the Halloween decorations (the ghosts down the street are scary according to William), and learned how to say "Shush" to Lisa's dog Carl when he barked.  At first we though Will was calling him Cow, but checked on it, because Cow seems like a pretty funny name for a dog.

I learned that pancakes can only be made in the presence of Grandma's and Grandpa's.  I suggested them for breakfast this morning and got told that we could only have them at Grandpa and Grandma's cabin, he then agreed that we could have them at their house too.  But I could not make them at our house.  When asked if Grandpa could make them at our house I found out that was also allowed.  So there apparently is a correlation:  pancakes can only be made in the presence of Grandma and Grandpa, who knew!

We are looking forward to Grandma and Grandpa S visiting this week and Grandma Mc next week!  So maybe Momma can have some pancakes?
