Snowing!

Grandma and Grandpa S were out for a visit to allow me to make a business trip to Georgia.  It was a lot of driving and flying for a 3.5 hour meeting with a customer, but it went well.  The weather there was so nice, 76 and sunny.  I even got a run in the first day we were there.

Georgia was surprisingly wooded in the north, we hardly saw any towns.  We did drive by Fort Benning and I thanked that Fort for introducing me to Adam.  My brother and Adam were at basic training together the summer of 2000 and became friends.  Little did I know the friend of Adam's with the funny last name would become my husband.  I met Adam at Dan's welcome home party.  I remember talking more to Adam's Mom than him, but I thought he was pretty good looking.  Dan then made the connection for us and the rest is history.

While I was down south I learned about cotton, pecan trees, hot boiled peanuts and Duck Dynasty, a popular TV show with my traveling companions.  The stars of the show some times make duck calls and mess around red neck style.  FYI don't call them duck whistles, or you will get laughed at.

Up North G&G and William were busy making Christmas cut out cookies.  Here's the boys elbow deep in dough and flour.  The cookies look awesome and are chilling in the freezer till Christmas time.

We finally got a chance to shovel snow at our house today.  The snowpants went on this year with no fits, but the boots were another story.  After getting out the larger pair and convincing Will that we need to wear snow boots to go outside, we made it out.   William started shoveling and then was looking for a place to dump the snow in his shovel.  I said "Go over towards Lynn's house (our neighbor) and dump it in the grass".  Well he took my word for it and walked all the way over to her house, I caught him shy of her driveway about to dump.  Then we got the hang of it and shoveled the driveway and the yard in areas.

After shoveling lost its appeal we made some snowmen, the first turned out well, the second didn't get finished because we discovered that throwing snow balls is even more fun.

Chasing Momma down to throw snow at her, while eating the falling snow.  William would pick up a wad of snow then tell me to pick up my snow, while I was bent down he would throw the snow at my butt and laugh, laugh, laugh.  I guess it makes an easy, big target!

The snowmen together :)

If your getting snow today, get out an enjoy it, might as well make the most of it!
