Snow's gone

So the snow didn't last till Christmas, bummer.  Our snowmen didn't even last one day and they fell over, now they are a collection of rocks, sticks and leaves (kinda need to rake the yard again, I was hoping the snow would cover it up till spring).

Over the monitor I am hearing the "This old man came rolling home" song.  Too funny.  He rarely will allow me to sing or sing himself, but in his bed he will sing himself to sleep.

Today we needed to get out and run around.  So off to the "Airplane museum" we went.  The volunteers keep asking us if we knew where things were, or telling about how you could go on this or that airplane, and I had to keep replying that we have been there before many times.  So much so that William knows where to go, and I have to hurry to catch up.

First stop was to the rocket blaster.  What's better than buttons that launch a bottle rocket to the ceiling?

Rocket successfully blasted to the ceiling.
Crank to make liquid magnets change shape, cool!

There is a tunnel with automatic doors that take you into the larger kid interactive area and William is still scared of them.  He doesn't like the noises he tells me, so here I am carrying a 38lbs little boy thorough the doors.  Once inside he is fine and climbs up into any cockpit he can and has to push every button, pull every lever and check it all out.

And one picture of a plane, there are so many I can't tell if this is a new one or not, the colors caught my eye.

My Christmas shopping is almost done, I have done little baking, but can make up for it next weekend.  My parents and my brother Kevin join us for Christmas again this year, so I am looking forward to their visit.  We are also going to make strawberry jam (still 15 lbs or so in the freezer from this summer).  I just need to convince my Mom to compromise on how thick she wants to make it!

Have a good week and a great Christmas!
