Amma and Appa Visited

Grandma and Grandpa S visited this week and brought with them some fun new things. First off Adam's old tricycle fixed up like new for William. He had fun being pushed around on it, but can't quite reach the peddles yet. We had bought Will some crocs a while ago, but he wanted nothing to do with them on his feet, but the other day while working around the house, both Adam and I put ours on and then all of a sudden William wanted to wear his, and they have been his shoe of choice now for a week.

Grandpa brought out a tent he used to take up to Baudette, MN (way, way up north), so we will have to plan some family campouts next year. No more excuses!

This is William telling Mommy that she needs to come in the tent with him. He is getting bit more demanding and better at giving direction on what he wants. He will tell us "here" and point with his little stubby fingers to his highchair tray to tell us just where he wants his milk, or bowl, etc.

Swinging with Grandma and Daddy. Daddy was on strict orders to push from behind :) Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for visiting and having fun with William, and have fun on your trip out West!
The last two weeks at daycare it was color week, where they asked all the kids to wear shirts with the color of the day. It was great timing as Will is naming colors left and right. His favorites to point out are Blue, Purple, Brown, and Black. And is getting better with Green, Orange, Yellow and Red. He didn't have a purple shirt for this Monday so while we were doing a little shoe shopping for him last weekend, we stopped in at Carters and found a marked down purple "Rock Star" shirt for 2.99. Perfect, and he was so excited to wear his purple shirt.

Will is talking like crazy lately. We had a 15 minute conversation this morning about who likes books and who doesn't like books. It went something like this....

Will: "Momma books"
Erin: "Yes, Momma likes books"
Will: "Daddy books"
Erin: "Yes, Daddy likes books"
Will: "Wm books"
Erin: "Yes, William likes books"
Will: "Puppy no books"
Erin: "That's right puppy doesn't like books"

Repeat this 20 times and you have our conversation. He is stringing together two words most of the time, with an occasional three together. Every day it seems there is a new word he can say. The other day it was "hole", we will see what tomorrows word is.

Hope you all have a fun and restful Labor day weekend!

looks like he loves the trike! Sounds like he is becoming a chatterbox! It is so funny what they say.

Cute!!! I didn't know you guys got a swingset - that's nice. Julianna would be on it all the time if we had one.
