Rewind or Fast Forward Please!

Today was not a good day. I hope you find the humor in this, and I hope I will too ... tomorrow.

It started out with a really bad night sleep. Adam was recovering his sleep pattern after getting a really bad migraine and taking a nap on Saturday, so he tossed and turned for hours before finally giving up when Murphy started vommiting in the bedroom at 3am. Murphy had gotten his hair cut yesterday, so I am not sure if that fired him up and made him sick. So Adam headed for the living room while I tried to get back to sleep after cleaning up the bathroom and carpet. I pulled some sholder muscles lifting William and re-agrivated them this weekend, so I couldn't sleep through the pain, even with Advil in my system.

So I finally fell asleep at 5:45am only to have my alarm go off at 6am. I needed to get William into daycare today since Adam had SWAT training in the morning, so I had to wake Will up, which he REALLY didn' t appreciate. So dressing, eating breakfast and getting ready for daycare was much more challenging than usual with the tantrums he was throwing. I finally coaxed him into submission by giving him an airplane magnet (you never know what will work). I got him dropped off okay and drove into work despite cars going 40mph in the rain on the highway.

Then on my way into work my umbrella broke, half the way in so I got wet and was late for my 7:30 am meeting with my boss and his boss among others. Made it through 3 presentations I had to give, and a bunch of meetings. I picked Will up and things were starting to look up. He ate a good dinner, we played with play doh, we read books and he took a bath. I got him dressed in his PJs only to go into the bathroom and catch Murphy throwing up piles (literally inches high) of his half digested dinner.

William came in so I was trying to get him out of the bathroom and I stepped in a giant pile of dog vomit. Easing out of my soaked sock and barf edged pants I proceeded to clean up the mess with TP and flush it down the toilet. So guess what happens then, the toilet clogs! Some how I managed to keep William out of the bathroom long enough to clean up the rest of the floor and get the toilet uncloged. Will thought that cleaning up the floor with TP and then flushing it in the toilet was fun, so he proceeded to further reduce our TP roll with about 4 flushes till I was able to call quits to that too.

What else can possibly happen, or shouldn't I ask. Maybe I should just go crawl into bed and hope for the next day to come soon!

I hope that tomorrow is a better day for you. Funny how days like these put all the other days in perspective.

Oh no Erin....sounds like a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day! It was quite a funny story though...perhaps by the end of the week you can find the humor as well! What is that saying...when life gives you lemons...make some damn lemonade!

Hope the rest of your week resembles nothing like today! It can only go up from here!
